In Celebration of MHS Class of 1958

A Tribute and Celebration

We were the class of 1958, members of the Greatest Generation as well as children of the Greatest Generation. Born in 1940, we are also called members of the Traditional Generation.

Our childhood, post World War II, "was the best of times . . . it was the age of wisdom . . . it was the epoch of belief . . .it was the season of Light . . . it was the spring of hope . . . we had everything before us . . .we were all going direct to Heaven . . . ." (A Tale of Two Cities, Charles Dickens.) At least, that's the way I felt about it. We were truly blessed.

Post from Beth

I FINALLY got on this thing. About the only thing that has changed for me in the last five years is my husband, Harold, passed away Dec. 6, 2006, and I now have five great grandchildren and another one due in February 2009. Looking forward to seeing you at the reunion in October.

Beth, thank you for posting. But, thank you, especially, for your work on the plans and preparations for the 50th.

Welcome to our small, friendly posting community.

Beth,
Glad you figured out the system and are now a true blogger! I ditto DNJ's accolades to you and to the committee for making the reunion a reality. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Beth, I'm so happy that you made it through the maze to join us here at our party. I'm proud of you and so glad that you did not give up.

Beth,

Glad you got the hang of posting. We love to see others take an active part in the blog - and there is a reason for our passion about getting other to join us.

You see after a couple more post, you will find that posting become addictive. Not only will you be thinking of many additional things to post, you will find yourself checking back every 15- 30 minutes seeing who has commented on your post.

There is no way to curb the addiction. Fighting it futile. Just enjoy the post, overlook the negative comments, enjoy the positive and appreciate the funny ones. And see if you can catch David and Ouida in number of postings ... or even get close ... there will be a prize at the reunion. So get busy.
