In Celebration of MHS Class of 1958

A Tribute and Celebration

We were the class of 1958, members of the Greatest Generation as well as children of the Greatest Generation. Born in 1940, we are also called members of the Traditional Generation.

Our childhood, post World War II, "was the best of times . . . it was the age of wisdom . . . it was the epoch of belief . . .it was the season of Light . . . it was the spring of hope . . . we had everything before us . . .we were all going direct to Heaven . . . ." (A Tale of Two Cities, Charles Dickens.) At least, that's the way I felt about it. We were truly blessed.

Mary Jane Kelly Heisterkamp

Ron Heisterkamp, husband of Mary Jane Kelly Heisterkamp, sent out a very sad e-mail this morning that Mary Jane passed away in the early morning hours. Let us remember Mary Jane and Ron and family and friends in our prayers. We shall greatly miss her kind heart and hearing from her.

O God our Father, Creator of all the living,
we entrust to Your gentle care
all those we love who have gone before us;
and have gone to their rest in the hope of rising again.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Eternal rest, grant unto Mary Jane,
O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May the souls of the faithful departed
through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
