In Celebration of MHS Class of 1958

In Celebration of MHS Class of 1958

A Tribute and Celebration

We were the class of 1958, members of the Greatest Generation as well as children of the Greatest Generation. Born in 1940, we are also called members of the Traditional Generation.

Our childhood, post World War II, "was the best of times . . . it was the age of wisdom . . . it was the epoch of belief . . .it was the season of Light . . . it was the spring of hope . . . we had everything before us . . .we were all going direct to Heaven . . . ." (A Tale of Two Cities, Charles Dickens.) At least, that's the way I felt about it. We were truly blessed.

Dear Jinny: I appreciate your comments and thank you. I'm very overwhelmed right now with other obligations. As I wrote earlier via e-mail to the class, I will not be able to do any class blogging until after about August 25th because of the canonical establishment of my Franciscan fraternity.

TO ALL OF YOU CLASSMATES:

What we really need is NEW and more people posting and participating. Classmates are visiting but not posting or even commenting (which is very, very easy).

At this point, the blog should have a life of its own, without me, but this has not happened because of the lack of participation by the class, except for a very, very few. This is a major failure of the blog.

Anyone who pleads "too hard" is simply not taking the time to slowly read the directions or ask for help. This excuse will not fly for such a smart and highly intelligent class as we were. Saying "too hard" is more of an indication of fear or laziness or indifference. Having no interest is fine, but the numbers indicate there is a high interest in our blog. Many, many are visiting but few are giving to its success.

I think what we have here is a dysfunctional blog with much co-dependency going on, if I may borrow this analogy. It is past time for others to participate so that there will not be an undue burden on the few.

Again, the blog should have a life of its own, not dependent on any one person or even a few.

Love & Prayers,
Ouida
