In Celebration of MHS Class of 1958

A Tribute and Celebration

We were the class of 1958, members of the Greatest Generation as well as children of the Greatest Generation. Born in 1940, we are also called members of the Traditional Generation.

Our childhood, post World War II, "was the best of times . . . it was the age of wisdom . . . it was the epoch of belief . . .it was the season of Light . . . it was the spring of hope . . . we had everything before us . . .we were all going direct to Heaven . . . ." (A Tale of Two Cities, Charles Dickens.) At least, that's the way I felt about it. We were truly blessed.

Patsy Fisher McDonald - Autobiography

I've been married to Louis McDonald for 51 years, and we have two daughters, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Louis retired from Civilian Service with 25 years service, from the State of Mississippi with 17 years service and Air National Guard with 41 years service. I retired February 2008 from BankPlus with 48 years service. We do lots of traveling and went to Alaska last summer.

Patsy, thank you for posting your auto-bio here. Alaska is a neat place to visit. Not sure about you, but Louis was an avid outdoorsman, as I recall. He must have really enjoyed the trip. But, that's not the most memorable aspect I have of Louis during our MHS years. I probably still have scars on my butt because I pledged while he was our TKO sergeant-at-arms... or Pledge Master. I don't remember which one meted out the "instructions".
