In Celebration of MHS Class of 1958

A Tribute and Celebration

We were the class of 1958, members of the Greatest Generation as well as children of the Greatest Generation. Born in 1940, we are also called members of the Traditional Generation.

Our childhood, post World War II, "was the best of times . . . it was the age of wisdom . . . it was the epoch of belief . . .it was the season of Light . . . it was the spring of hope . . . we had everything before us . . .we were all going direct to Heaven . . . ." (A Tale of Two Cities, Charles Dickens.) At least, that's the way I felt about it. We were truly blessed.

Coty's Porch Party, Sunday, October 12th

Coty is having a porch party Sunday afternoon, October 12th, from 1:00 to 6:00 pm in Meridian. It will be held at her sister's home.

WEAR A LARGE NAME TAG, IF POSSIBLE

ADDRESS: 4815 Hwy. 39 North

DRESS: Casual, sweatshirts, shorts, etc.

BRING: If you can, bring your own drink and whatever snack you would like to share. This is not mandatory, but helpful since Coty does not know how many are coming.

PARKING: Not a problem as Norma has several acres. There is a side road which has no houses on it, and her driveway is very long.

CARPOOLING: Suggestion - if you want to carpool, you could meet at the Winn Dixie on Highway 39 North.

DIRECTIONS: From the intersection of Highway 39 North and 52nd Street (aka North Hills Street), which is where the WinnDixie and Hardee's are located, take Highway 39 North approximately 4 miles. When you see the Briarwood water tower on the right, turn left onto Harvey Cut Off Road. The home is on the corner, facing Highway 39. Coty says they will have markers. If you come to the red light intersection of Briarwood, you have gone too far.
